Hardware Requirements
Choose your Raspberry Pi
Before you start our guide, make sure you have one of the following Raspberry Pis:
Raspberry Pi Zero 2W
- Power Supply (5V, 2.5A with a microUSB connector)
- Mini HDMI to HDMI adapter cable
Raspberry Pi 4B
- Power Supply (5V, 2.5A with a USB-C connector)
- Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter cable
Raspberry Pi 5
- Power Supply (5V, 3A with a microUSB connector)
- Micro HDMI to HDMI adapter cable
Other components
You will also need the following components:
For the Raspberry Pi
- MicroSD Card (at least 8GB, Class 10 recommended)
- MicroSD Card Reader
- Keyboard and Mouse
- Monitor with HDMI input
- Internet connection (via Wi-Fi)
For the monitoring setup
- Pimoroni Automation Hat mini
- Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor
- Cables
